| Subject: EASE News - Bondare 1.6.2 Release Notice Last week was shortened by the 4th of July holiday, but the easeforum.com staff staff was still able to put out one of the more significant releases of Bondware to date. Bondware 1.6.2 which is now ready for download at http://www.easeforum.com/?download_section_id=10 Summary of changes in Bondware Release 1.6.2 -------------------------------------------- New Features - Added the notion of Public and Admin Only discussions - Added the ability to require subscription to access select features - Added "Member Type" column to the Admin View Members page - Made the "Admin" column sortable on the Admin View Members page Bug Fixes - Added better spacing to text stating opinions or polls are available on news headlines - Fixed a bug with broadcasting that would not allow the Top message to be sent without the bottom message - Fixed a bug where new items where not inserted into the catalog if you forgot to put a shipping surcharge - Fixed spacing difference between front page news & News tab news headline formatting - Cleaned up potential color display problem on the admin pages when selecting light colored text - Made some layout changes to some of the admin pages to improve display quality Comments The support for Public and Admin Only discussions allows site administrators to communicate in private without leaving the context of the Discussions area where they are servicing site customers. The most significant new feature this week is definitely the subscription module. This functionality allows a Bondware customer to establish a site which provides some level of public information but requires subscription to access the premium portions. This feature is a result of several requests from media and consulting firms. This feature clears the way for use of Bondware in a subscription based online support service. Watercooler 1.0 Status ---------------------- The easeforum.com staff is working hard toward the release of the second application for the EASE catalog.
