What is an EASE Space?
EASE Space refers to a fully functional, but unpopulated environment created by a web hosting entity that includes a traditional website, FTP access to the site, access to the EASE server, and a private SQL database area that can be accessed with EASE.

Into an EASE Space one can easily place complete applications such as EdgeNet's award winning Bondware application. See the Applications link in the sidebar for a list of available applications.

This will involve downloading the application which is typically a ZIP file, extracting the contents, and uploading them to your EASE Space. Usually applications will be uploaded to a sub-directory to avoid file name collisions.

Each ZIPPED application will contain a file named 'readme.txt' in the top level directory which will provide further installation instructions. All installers/uninstallers should be invoked by the following syntax:

http://www.mysite.com/appid/install.ez
http://www.mysite.com/appid/uninstal.ez

'appid' is a unique name for this application. All SQL tables names created by the install.ez will be prefixed with appid as follows:

appid_tablename

Ultimately EdgeNet will assign official 'appid's and this will be mechanism for tracking usage and paying royalties. The 'appid' will also be used as a prefix for all database table names created by a given application.
