| Can you create e-commerce web sites with the EASE platform? The answer is, of course! What you will first need is, 1) a merchant account for e-commerce, 2) a back-end system for accepting credit cards online, and 3) an EASE application. 1) While you may already have a merchant account for accepting credit cards, check with your bank first. Not all normal merchant accounts can accept credit cards from over the Internet. You'll have to ask your bank if yours already will, or if you'll need to setup a second one. 2) You'll need to find a back-end partner. We can recommend CyberCash and Authorize.net We have successfully created online catalogs using both. While there are many others, see if they can be accessed through CGI calls to their servers, or if they provide code you must compile into your CGI. This is how CyberCash works. 3. Now all you need is an EASE catalog application. One comes included with Bondware, or you can check the File Library here, or write your own from scratch.
